Terms of Use

ManagerTea is an independent platform for firsthand workplace opinions. By using ManagerTea, you agree to these terms and our Community Guidelines.

1. Who we are and eligibility

ManagerTea operates from California, United States. Contact: hello@managertea.com. You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. ManagerTea is not affiliated with listed employers or managers.

2. Accounts and reviews

Use a verified email and protect your sign-in links. Do not impersonate others, create accounts to evade moderation, or submit fabricated reviews. You may post one review per manager based on your own experience, with ratings from 1 to 5, up to three tags and up to 500 characters. You are responsible for your content and must follow the Community Guidelines. Reviews are public without your account name or email; this does not guarantee anonymity.

3. Profiles and manager responses

A listing is not an endorsement or a finding of wrongdoing. Profile claims are free. Managers must sign in with a verified work email and provide evidence; an administrator checks the relationship to the listed manager before approval. Email verification proves control of an inbox, not identity or employment. Approval permits public responses, not access to reviewer identities, removal of criticism, or creator editing privileges. Responses must follow the same conduct rules.

4. Content ownership and license

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant ManagerTea a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display and adapt that content solely to operate, moderate and improve the service, including displaying approved manager responses. You warrant that you have the right to submit it. Deleting content stops public display; private retention and lawful preservation are described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Moderation and legal requests

We may hold, hide or remove content, restrict accounts, or correct profiles for guideline violations, legal concerns or safety. Criticism or a low rating alone is not grounds for removal. Use Request removal with the exact profile or review ID, specific legal grounds, relevant facts, your contact information and signed good-faith statement. We record requests and decisions privately. We may request evidence, notify affected parties when appropriate, or preserve records for legal obligations. To appeal, email hello@managertea.com with the request reference and new information.

6. Copyright complaints

Copyright owners or authorized representatives should identify the protected work, the exact material and its location, their contact details, a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and they are authorized to act, and an electronic signature. Submit through Request removal or hello@managertea.com. We assess notices and applicable counter-notice procedures; this page does not represent registration of a statutory copyright agent.

7. Prohibited use

Do not scrape private data, attempt unauthorized access, expose reviewers, threaten legal action to extort users, manipulate ratings, spam, or disrupt the service. Do not upload material you are legally prohibited from disclosing. Do not use the platform to discriminate or make employment decisions unlawfully, or post or threaten reviews to obtain refunds or other benefits.

8. AI privacy checks

Optional AI checks offer suggestions, not legal advice or a guarantee of anonymity, accuracy or safety. Review the final text for names, precise dates and unique incidents before posting. You choose whether to apply a rewrite and remain responsible for the posted text.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Content reflects user opinions, not verified facts or ManagerTea’s views. The service is provided as available, without warranties to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee completeness, uninterrupted access or the suitability of reviews for employment decisions. To the extent permitted by law, ManagerTea is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Disputes, changes and contact

California law governs to the extent permitted by applicable law, without taking away mandatory rights in your jurisdiction. Contact hello@managertea.com first to seek an informal resolution. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights. We may update these terms, showing a new effective date and notifying users of material changes where appropriate. Contact us to request account closure or raise questions.
